In their second appearance on ITV’s 60 Minute Makeover this month,Dream Doors, the UK’s premier kitchen facelift specialists were involved in another dramatic transformation – this time a celebrity special. Coronation Street's Beverley Callard asked the 60Minute Makeover team to help after she visited a special school in Manchester for students with learning difficulties.
The episode aired on 24th October in which 60 Minute Makeover designer John Amabile and the team were challenged to create new and exciting places for the students to learn and play, and for the staff to relax in. More than 150 people got involved in making the transformation happen…and companies donated nearly £100,000 of specialist equipment, new furniture and kitchens!
The Dream Doors branch in Warrington provided stunning high gloss new kitchen doors, granite worktops and splash backs for the staff room as well as being on hand to help with all the installations.
Headteacher Hilary Moon joined Bev in surprising the students and staff and said of the result….”We are so delighted with the makeover – the first morning back after filming the staff and students didn’t get any work done they were so excited!”
