Another Award for Leading Retail Franchisor

Dream Doors, the UK’s largest franchised kitchen facelift company, have won the South East Training Award in the medium sized employer category.  As part of the National Training Awards this accolade recognizes Dream Doors as a company that invests heavily in training and support for its network of franchisees and employees.

At a glittering awards ceremony, the team from Dream Doors were presented with their trophy by Colin Jackson sports commentator and former British hurdles champion.

The National Training Awards celebrate businesses, organisations and individuals that achieve outstanding success through training and development.  They are run by UK Skills on behalf of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills and are sponsored by City & Guilds. They are also supported by Investors in People.

Skills Minister David Lammy said: “The National Training Awards foster a culture of learning, celebrate skills development, and make a real difference to the performance of companies and individuals the length and breadth of the country by challenging them to invest in their own development and future.  The winners demonstrate the dynamic range of training taking place across the UK and the benefits of achieving excellence, and I congratulate them.”

Brand Builder of the Year Award Winner Dream Doors gets Nominated for Two More Awards

Since winning Brand Builder of the Year at the Franchisor of the Year Awards in July, kitchen facelift franchise, Dream Doors, has been nominated for two further awards.

Says Dream Doors’ founder, Troy Tappenden: “We’re really excited up at head office. This could potentially be a triple award whammy for the company before the year is out.”

In addition to clinching Brand Builder of the Year, Dream Doors’ Nottingham franchisees, Trevor and Anne Conduit, have been nominated for the Franchisee of the Year Award. Dream Doors is also a finalist in the National Training 2008 Awards in the medium employer category. The National Training Awards celebrate organisations and individuals that demonstrate outstanding business and personal success through investment in training. Dream Doors recruited sale training specialist, Virada, and drew up a programme to develop skills in a consultative approach, building genuine relationships, understanding customers wants and needs, presenting benefits effectively and helping customers with decision-making, securing its running in the contest.

Says Dream Doors’ Operations Director, Kelly Chambers: “We created a two-day introduction to selling workshop for all franchisees, and one-day refreshers as needed. Our sales training programme now features in our recruitment pitch and is also used to develop new franchisees. Last year, the training accounted for 165 extra sales totaling more than £575,000.”

Dream doors wins 'Brand Builder Of The Year Title'

Dream Doors are ‘Express Newspapers Brand Builder of the Year’ in the British Franchise Association’s (bfa) 2008 Franchisor of the Year Awards.

Dream Doors Kitchen makeovers, involving kitchen door and drawer front replacement, are big business, and Dream Doors made it a priority to ensure that their brand continues to represent the UK’s number one franchised kitchen door replacement company.

By enhancing its brand aesthetics Dream Doors are confident that they and their franchisees have the best materials at their disposal for creating quality leads and better conversions.

Significant investment in brand image, and a more focused approach to brand marketing have helped to drive up group sales by 25 per cent.

Director General of the bfa, Brian Smart, added: “Making a business more successful is always a challenge and Dream Doors is an excellent example of the benefits of franchising.  By utilising tried and tested methods of network management they have been able to effectively create a business that both supports and is supported by the core brand. This is franchising at its best.”

HSBC has been supporting the franchise industry for more than 20 years and the bank’s Head of Franchising, Cathryn Hayes, added her congratulations to the Brand Builder winners: “It takes courage as well as exceptional skills to pioneer new ground and Dream Doors have set an example that others are sure to follow.”

Record sales challenge the credit crunch

If the press are to have their way, the UK will slip from credit crunch, through recession, to a full on depression.  In times of doom and gloom it is refreshing to hear of businesses that are growing and succeeding where others struggle. Dream Doors, the UK’s premier kitchen facelift company, are a beacon of hope and continue to celebrate record sales across the country.

A Dream Doors facelift involves transforming a kitchen, or bedroom, by swapping the doors with made-to-measure replacements.  A cost - and time saving - solution to traditional re-fits, a facelift can be completed in as little as one day and for a fraction of the cost.  New cabinets, worktops, appliances or sinks can also be incorporated and it is this total flexibility that makes a Dream Doors facelift compelling when watching the pennies.

All Dream Doors branches are owned by their local franchisee, so customers deal with the business owner - not a sales person.  Each franchise is independently monitored through Checkatrade to maintain the highest standards in customer service.

Winners of the British Franchise Association’s Brand Builder of the Year Awards, sponsored by the Daily Express, Dream Doors have been recognised for the continued development, promotion and growth of their brand.  With 20 showrooms open across the country, and more opening every month, Dream Doors are the UK’s largest franchised kitchen door replacement company.
